About Justin Capps and The Cavaliers
The journey began with a yard sale guitar when American-born Justin Capps started writing songs, singing and composing music in college. Having since played across the US and the UK as a solo artist, 2018 saw Justin join forces with The Cavaliers. Made up of Stuart Lovibond, Connor Wornham and Alix King, The Cavaliers maintain a notable position in the South Coast’s music scene and compliment Justin’s full-bodied sound with considerable instrumental skill. Bringing together their charm and musical talent, the ‘cherry on top’ came in 2019 as experienced female vocalist Emily Walton became the 5th member of the band, further refining their already impressive sound. Off to a lightning start, the joining of talent proved itself over the summer of 2019 when the band were announced as Portsmouth’s Original Artist of The Year. Rounding off the summer, they secured a number of coveted festival bookings.
Americana-tinged Acoustic Indie-Folk with Soul, Justin’s broad musical background and experiences lend a unique character to his original songs, which are tastefully brought to life by the band. Equipped with Justin’s songwriting mastery and the group’s many years of musical experience, Justin Capps and The Cavaliers are bringing a unique sound to the South Coast’s music scene. With songs to make you laugh, cry, and fly before you do it all over again, they deliver Worldly Americana with conviction and joy.
